This policy explains how the Scanlio app ("the app", "we") handles your information. Scanlio lets you scan and create QR codes and convert files to PDF. Your QR codes and files stay on your device.
The following is saved only on your device and is never uploaded to us:
The app uses Firebase Authentication (by Google) to create an anonymous identifier for your installation. No name, email, phone number or other account details are asked for or collected. Google processes this identifier under its Firebase privacy terms.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device type and general location, and ad interactions. This data is collected and used by Google, not by us. Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.
You can limit personalized ads in your device settings: on Android under Settings › Google › Ads, and on iOS under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking / Apple Advertising.
The camera is used only to scan QR codes. Images are processed on your device and are not recorded, saved or uploaded.
The app opens only the photos and files you choose, and only to convert them. They are processed on your device.
We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the Google services described above, no data is shared with third parties.
You can delete items anytime in the app. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device and the anonymous identifier.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
